Yup been saying that for a few years now. The climate is changing but I don’t think we are causing it. I think the planet is just old. But at any rate yeah it’ll be another extra mild winter for the east Coast. But cold enough to keep the bugs down so I’m at least happy to have a break from them

As I watch all this. All you see is warm warm warm. It rarely gets cold anymore at all. 540 line is up in northern Canada. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s 50 – 60 all winter in Jersey

I’m 29 it’s never been cold in September and October in north Jersey in my life. It doesn’t start getting cold until End over November through marchb
In Bucks County PA north of Philly, pre Halloween snow occurred several times in the past decade. Nothing big, but a white coating on the grass. Following sandy it got quite cold. We had no power and the house got down to the 40s. I think we even saw some snow flakes during that period.

Is it just me or does the long-term indices always show very negative AO from about a week out until the end of the chart all the time?
These indices last winter were never, ever correct. I really don’t think it will be any different this year. Although even if forecasting is mild in the east, I mean look at the track record. It’s always always wrong, so I put 0 stock in that.
