A Line of Severe Storms with Damaging Wind Gusts and Hail A line of severe storms will develop across the Great Lakes and extend into the Midwest this afternoon and evening. In this case, the storms will move into very hot weather which will result in the storms producing damaging wind gusts and large hail. Hail over a half inch is likely and winds may gust to 65 mph in any one storm.
