We start the week with heavy storms across the Appalachians and Mid-Atlantic states. That area of heavy storms will hit Monday but should move out on Tuesday.
The front associated with that system will stall across the South and that will allow the old tropical system that is hitting northern Texas Sunday to move along. The result will be locally heavy rains and flash flooding anywhere along that old front, especially Northern Texas.
The Monsoon storms will continue across the West. The storms will continue to cause locally heavy rains and flash flooding.
The heat returns to the central Plains this week. Expect temperatures in the 90s to 100.
