The thaw weather will only last into Saturday before the a a storm comes along and brings a change to colder weather and snow for Sunday into Monday. The storm will bring rain that will change over to a heavy wet snow from the Ohio Valley into the Appalachians and New England. The heaviest snows of 4″+ will go from the Ohio through northern PA and southern NY into New England. There is the chance the heavier snows develop into southern PA, MD and northern VA as the upper-level low comes over that area Sunday night. Roads will go from wet to slushy and slippery and in the heavier snow area, compacted snow on the roads.
