Weekly Highlights for February 26 to March 3

The big story this week will be the massive cold front that will plow across the country from the Rockies to the East coast. That front will bring snow, blowing snow, falling temperatures of 20-30 degrees or more and high winds associated with a line of severe storms. The snow will impact southern Canada Monday. That area will see 4-8 inches of snow. The light to moderate snow will come down the Plains and Front Range of the Rockies Tuesday. Expect 1-4 inches of snow with rapid temperature changes and blowing snow.

That front will impact the Midwest to the East coast with rain changing to snow and blowing snow with rapid freezes as temperatures plummet behind the front. As the front moves through, expect winds gusting to 60 mph with the potential for gusts over 60 mph in the Mid-Atlantic Wednesday evening.
