Wow last night was wild with the thunderstorm south of Buffalo with freezing rain which ended up in Rochester but much lighter and the rumbles stayed to the south. This is a picture of my local meteorologist reporting on it last night and I took a whole video on him talking about in his 20 years of meteorology he has never seen this before. Could not share the video as the file is too large. The other local meteorologist talked about this last night and the NWS as well. This has been a wild ride for me in Rochester starting in the fall with lake effect thunderstorms with a lot of hail, then starting out the winter with a lot of little snow events to more lake effect and synoptic events with lake enhancement that has added up to a little bit over my seasonal snowfall. Any snow that falls going forward is bonus snow. Take care all have a good day!
