Freezing rain in Rochester this evening. This photo is from West Webster. I am starting to get accumulating where I am. Some heavier precipitation on radar looking like it is heading my way. A lot of reports coming in about ice accumulations,. Winter Weather Advisory until 5am for freeing rain. I believe yesterday is the anniversary of the 1991 ice storm in Rochester where 3/4 to 2 inches of freezing rain fell and many people including myself were out of power for 3 weeks, Rochester lost about 10,000 trees and 200,000 people without power for days to weeks. Tonight’s freezing rain won’t even compare to that storm. Hope you all have a good night!
