12477… coming down hard and sticking 2+
Mind you, this is coming from a guy who has watched these storms since the early 1970s , and extracts energy from them. Thank you , Paul Kocin!
You have a link?
Northern energy phases early causing negative tilt driving the trough to send the storm through the benchmark, causing a historic blizzard!
Need northern energy to get a neg tilt and bend it like Beckham
Yeah it’s leaving that northen energy behind so far…maybe on the 18z it’ll look more like what the CVS is talking about
Cause the 0z CFS has gone to Godzilla mode burning the Mid-Atlantic and east coast in over 30+ inches of snow….
that’s classic placement though…
Definitely moved 75 to 100 miles west on this run, the trend is our friend

The weather could care less about out positive thoughts, it’s going to do what it going to do anyways. Looking at the data and trying to figure out what the weather will do is all we can do…and it seems as though this none existent El Niño is…Read More
Positive thoughts, remember the late 60’s and 70’s growing up as a kid… the rain/snow line was all you needed to worry about, as you stared at the street light all night! Watching the thermometer, your homemade snow stick and out in the backyard swinging your hydrometer.
I was also living in RI in the ’78. blizzard. Recall that I walked to the back of the house in the evening to shovel out the clothes dryer vent. When I returned to the front door less than 10 minutes later, my tracks were completely covered up. Thought I would never see anything like that again….until ’96 when I was living in PA. 33 inches at…Read More
Just trust the coming trend, soon we will be looking at Paul Kocins analogs to our coming storms.
Without models and index’s many years ago, you went by eye. Snow breeds snow, and it has to start somewhere and just maybe it’s starting now! Merry Christmas
