1.30 ob 20 miles north Duckpin. Back forth since 10.30. Precip. is heavy. Heavy sleet snow mix. Still accumulates like snow but much heavier to push in plowing. Going be long 24 hrs clearing this. Crazy thing is just dropped below 10 which is coldest Ive can remember precip. 7+ inches and packing together. Mess.

Had 1in in Central Franklin co. Pa Snow hole. Started as bit rain then big flakes for couple hours. Nice see something other than brown in landscape. After 47 yesterday roads melted quick. Henry take day if need to. Enjoy beating the models ahead of rest. Take victory lap. Week 1/25 starting look interesting. Don’t need it that cold though.

Yep, not too different up here in Minnesota. Its been warm and dry for our standards. Its a bummer but Henry’s forecast for the region is a bust. December was supposed to be cold and snowy, NOPE. January was supposed to be cold and snowy, NOPE. We are already in a drought.

Wish casting now for 2 years. After 15thMJO goes phase 6 and as Bastardi says and I agree this time. Warm last 1/2 Jan will happen. Then sun starts win cold battle. Another dry snow less winter for snow hole S central PA. WV, and Va. Clippers did good job feeding Pittsburgh. At least they got out snow hole in December.

Already 50 sun in great snow hole Cumberland valley so Pa. 1/2 in snow from squall gone. Coldest windiest run I can remember with whooping 3 in snow with cold. Only moisture in last 6 weeks 2 events .5 in snow beginning of Dec and 1 in. 2 weeks later.
Too bad towe don’t see this precip pattern when cold..Right up 81 corridor best moisture. Take anything. Hasn’t.rained in month. Driest Sept to end year . Plants happy after long freezing run. Bet Not see that cold relative to avg rest of winter. Forget not winter 3 more days.

Every model run is down slope complete miss in the 81 snow hole. Keep getting drier while cold gets stronger for Sunday ,Monday. Way too cold to long with NO moisture for 3rd straight month. Very hard on all plants. See damage again in April.
12z CMC shows and has been showing for several days 2-3 inches for the I-81 corridor but the GFS has not been. But the 12Z GFS has trended the opposite way now and is showing 1-2 inches. NOAA says 60% chance of snow for Hagerstown after 1 A.M.
Ended Franklin Co Pa. Now 33 with fog. Had total 3 in wet packing snow. Surprise was changed back snow till end. At least be no refreeze.
In Chambersburg area turn over sleet drizzle around 6.30 after 1 inch. 32.5 now going back and forth. When heavy band goes thru flips to snow then back to mix. Warm wedge wins again. Sure Duckpinmaster in Hagerstown area be mostly rain. Miserable plow compared nice fluffy snow. Another great job by models???
Same wolf call in East last 3 years. Storms appear on bogus models out of their range, then nothing happens. Sure looks like same pattern repeat of last several winters with 50% snowfall 81 corridor and east. Another year no east coast storms hence no big storms. Just hope for few crumbs to use pile salt and plow few times.
Maybe it is because you are comparing 6 hour runs of the models to their 12 hour runs. You usually can’t do that an expect consistency. I learned that years ago on the WeatherBell forum from guys a lot more knowledgeable of the weather than I will ever he.
WE ARE . Nice see 1st big win all year in last home game on clear frosty night in Happy valley. About 20,000 short of full house. Also odd year to go from Aug 28 to Nov 22 with no weather issue in any game.

Finally Killing freeze in Chambersburg, central Franklin co Pa area. Last go below 32 at 31 this AM. Looking forward to real area covering rain Wed night to Thursday . Been since end July since ALL had rain one time.
Show difference in 20 miles north up 81 for Duckpinmaster. New Franklin Pa. Had .35 Wednesday, Thursday AM slow .25 then blasting rain around 3pm had .85 20min. daily total 1.07 most since July 14 total event 1.5 in. again here is Mason Dixon line again.
