• Just enough rain keep surface moist and growing. But no help to long term drought from South Central Pa south. Yet St college north and west not even on monitor. Eastern shore like desert. Lot change in small milage. Can’t break clipper cycle for 2 years. Not good thing when heat hits. Last May had 12 inches rain saved summer. Not this year.

  • Too cold night’s for May. Another morning in 30s. And may be couple more early next week. Surface water o k but not water table heading into summer.

  • Had 26 lo Chambersburg area. 90-26 not good week on plants but most adapt. Lose buds but not plant in most cases. Endless summer bloom on new growth. Trim back any dead wood hard let grow. See blooms later than normal. Never bloom as first bought as not in perfect condition to start. Old variety hydrangeas don’t do as well. .

  • Duckpin, played for Fayetteville AA in mid 70’s. Not sure how far you go back. Those were the good old days and even snowed here back then. 76,77 -77,78 winters classic

    • Stopped playing team sports in the early 90’s and took up the niche sport of duckpin bowling. Still bowling 2-3 times a week and about 10-12 tournaments a year. Kids and seniors love duckpin bowling, and I am not a kid anymore. Have a great day.

  • 23 deg in valley Chambersburg Pa. 5 80+ over last 3 weeks has landscape 2 weeks ahead. Peaches full bloom. Not good situation. Been very odd spring so far.

  • Picked up .45 in moderate drought area of South Central Pa into MD. After below 6 months in row March better at 3 in. All rains been 1/2 in or less but soaking in not running off.

    • This pattern is locked and loaded right through the summer. It won’t snow, but we’ll definitely have some real chili periods.

  • That model is an embarrassment to any one that even looks at it. Be 0 tomorrow. NO more snow I 80 and South. Better luck next year

  • Time end snow train south I-80. Least amount events I can remember 3. If believed model had 10 events and 4 ft not 15 inches in South Central Pa snow hole. At least getting much needed rain . Thunder last evening. But 5 days no sun and fog does get old.

  • Stopped cold at Mason Dixon line. Happens either way lot.

  • Finally soaking rain event in South central I 81 corridor 1.2 in along .35 Monday most precip 4 month. GFS garbage followers will die. Bernie only old timer from accuweather who counts said GFS cut 1/2 precip in DC. That will continue as tread. My thought if upper level trough holds passing thru couple inches slop none on roads. Sun angle now…Read More

    • He also said a few days ago that there was just a 15% chance of a major storm. JB puts out his final snow map totals later today and he has not wavered from his call of 6-12 inches from DC north. It is only Feb 20 not Mar 20 so sun angle not a major factor as far as accumulations plus the main roads will be kept clear no matter the intensity of…Read More
