As much as the snow would have been a nightmare to deal with I wanted that storm to come up. It woulda been a sight to behold..damn how long we gotta wait now

I don’t believe it matters cat4,3,2 or 1.. The loss of life and property is more meaningful than wind speed… water does much more damage than winds.. This storm will be remembered for the loss of life and destruction of property!!!!
The weather is going to do what it wants to do.. Can’t blame Henry.. El Nino being marginal and central pacific based leads to confusion of weather models. I think the east coast will get 1or 2 storms before end of season.. but we shall see..

That year the annual Washington Crossing, PA Christmas Day re-enactment of the 1777 Delaware River crossing had George and his army walking across the bridge to NJ because the river was clogged with ice and they couldn’t launch the boats from the river bank. It was below zero with snow on the ground as I recall. Photo shows them in the ice bound boats.
