I am in Rochester and I have 82 inches thus far for the season. Oswego is about an hour and a half away from Rochester. It is SO cold.
At least Erie freezes over. I could not stand that all winter.
I know i wish Lake Ontario would freeze over but as you know it’s much deeper. Where you live, in PA do you get Lahe Erie lane effect?
Yes but its not a lot. Mostly snow squalls and steady flurries. Just West of us gets more in the Highland mountains.
Funny, When I moved to Indiana, PA from Philly I thought I’d see more but thats not the case.
How much snow have you got this year?
Around 20-21″, about 13″ the last storm. I think we only average around 40″ a winter.

Come on Henry quit complaining about the winter weather, back in October and November. You’re all excited about having cold and maybe a lot of snow, what happened to that? Yes it does , though the area I escaped winter to (SE Florida) 17 years ago is going to get a taste of winter temperatures! Up in Tampa they have an outdoor hockey game this weekend. Great timing !
No one will go it will be to cold. LOL
NOAA is saying Thursday. But if GFS shows trend continuing west at 12z tomorrow then the other models like the GEM and EURO will most likely also show it by 12z on Thursday.. Thursday is the day for a big heads up.

Sometimes I get a kick out of how the NWS explains things. For instance it has posted for next Tues and Wed nights that those two nights will have “cooler” temperatures than what is expected for Mon night in Hagerstown. Then they go on to explain that by cooler they mean lows in the single digits to low teens. I wonder what they would say if…Read More
The NWS has been saying this for a couple years. Doesn’t want the word colder used, as it doesn’t fit their agenda. Remember global warning. Sorry I meant climate change. lol
