All the Weather All the Time!

13.7″ at PHI (about 5 miles from me). Honestly, this was easier to shovel than that 5″ of snow + 4″ of sleet we got last time
Agree. Have 18-20” in the Marlton Nj area. Despite a heavy slow-going shovel I was able to clear my driveway and walkways today.
Had quite a few of sleet loaded snow falls mixed with some rain over the years. It is a pain. Shoveling snow is hard on the heart so be careful.
It can also be good for the heart if your doctor recommends more exercise to help increase oxidation.
About 3″ so far here in SE PA. Put out meterstick for kicks. You can actually see it accumulating sideways on it. Snow off and on horizontal. Might make remote reading difficult hahahaha 😂
This is shaping up to be the most snow in a storm I’ve ever experienced in my life. Trying to beat super storm 93 at Penn State/State College 26″
WSW here for SE PA. 10-16″ predicted with most models more than that. Heavy wet snow to boot. Get your eggs milk and bread everyone
When I was in Meteo 201 with John Merritt back in the day (late 80s), I believe he is the one that I heard say: “If a storm makes news on the West Coast, it’ll make news on the East Coast”
Winter storm watch for SE PA “>6″ possible”. Ncep plume viewer this morning at 13-14″ for PHI.
About 4″ of sleet here in SE PA (and still sleeting)
Glad we shoveled around 12-1 before
Sunny, crisp and warmed up to 19 here in SE PA. Warning my son in Raleigh to get ready for the weekend. I know it’s google but when I asked Google how much snow was expected to fall in Raleigh it replied 20.67″. Hahaha
about 1.5″ yesterday in SE PA. Snowing pretty hard again the last hour or so and sticking to the roads. Going to be icy in the morning for sure.
Some of the freakiest February weather I can recall going on here in SE PA. Upper layer clouds like 50% clouds, 50% blue sky. Light rain/sunshower. Winds 50-60mph. Mid level and low level clouds zipping by like a NASCAR race. Still feels like 60 degrees outside (sorry guys, outdoor thermometer broken).
All snow from start to finish here in SE PA. About 3″. Curious to see how tonight and overnight plays out.
One of my favs. Best part is I bought this at a library sale for like $1. John Nese was president of Penn State Campus Weather Service when I was a freshman METEO student back in 1987. Ran into him in like 2003 at The Franklin Institute when I took my 6th graders there on a class trip.
Above freezing now. I teach my students that a good way to tell after an ice storm if it is above freezing is when you get driving from the trees. Tough to tell thickness of ice but probably .2 or so overnight
Dripping from the trees
I am in SE Pa
Decently heavy freezing rain here is SE PA. Don’t think we got any snow or sleet (it def. started as rain). Oh well, one storm down 10 to go………
Wintry mix for a bit yesterday evening and a bit of freezing drizzle/freezing fog overnight here in SE PA. Hoping for more WED/THU here is SE PA
up to about 2.5″ here is SE PA. Still snowing.
About 2 inches in Marlton NJ. Snow ending.
430 pm in SEPA. About an inch of mix. Wind picking up as is snow.
If I get the forecasted max of 1″ of snow overnight here in SE PA, and my son gets the max 4″ he is under a winter storm warning for in NC, he will have had more accumulating snow than me up to this point this winter.
About 2″ overall here in SEPA (Delco). Did not cover grass completely. Snow starting up again with the last bit moving thru now into this evening.
