We have had a rapid pre-summer warm up in the Southwest the past couple of days, Yesterday we had the earliest 90 deg. day in the Las Vegas Valley. Today is much cooler as a cold front passes through which will drop temps to seasonable levels and usher in strong winds.
A significant warm up is in store for the Las Vegas Valley in the coming days. It seems like we go from cool to almost summer-like temps in just a few days. By the middle of next week, we could be pushing 90 deg!
Another windy day is in store for the Las Vegas Valley and much of the Southwest today. Yesterday there were gusts upwards of 45 mph. Last night we did get some showers before more wind whipped in behind them. Winds did decouple some overnight, but have picked up again, though not as strong as yesterday.
The weather in the Las Vegas Valley started off with overcast skies early this morning while the L.A. area received heavy rainfall. After this morning’s near zero, I (and my dog!) agree too. Dogs are smart – she found the”right spot” in record time and was back in the house in less than a minute.
