Here as a temporary ‘snow bird’ in SE Florida since Wednesday….”cold”, didn’t get above 65 degrees here yesterday; So.. since I am here in Southern Florida, there NOW will be a BIG East Coast snowstorm in my absence.. with copious amounts of snow in my Long Island backyard.. bummer for an old snow lover like me …but you’re welcome

I saw something on one of the news sites that magnetic North is changing it’s position. Do you think that could be the cause of our strange weather patterns?
The magnetic north pole is always on the move. Mariners using magnetic compasses must account for ‘variation’ (the difference in degrees between True and Magnetic north) which changes constantly. Cool picture from the storms yesterday in the Chicagoland area. Sears Tower being hit by lightning. We saw some pretty good rain and a lightning show for most of the afternoon/night. We did have some decent wind with gusts in the 50’s and some pea size hail in certain areas of the city.

Got about 4″ here in West Chester. Partly cloudy and 36 now. Melting has begun in earnest and will pick up with the sun poking thru this afternoon. Sure looked amazing this morning.
