@weathermadness Storms are looking good Henry! Hopefully they pan out and bring the Big Daddy snows we have been looking for.
It’s all good Henry we are all well aware that winter is over as far as snow is concerned for the Mid-Atlantic, and it would appear that you are coming around to that same solution, took you a little while to get there but you are there as well. You have to realize that the MId-Atlantic snow geese have accepted this sort of weather pattern as the…Read More
@snowman55 That’s a little irrational considering it’s only Jan 2nd and not March 2nd. When have the models been correct this season? 2 out of 100 times maybe. It’s been totally impossible to even predict anything with confidence and accuracy when the models change every 6 hours from one extreme to another. Winter is far far far from over.
We shall see
Don’t throw Henry under the bus because not one forecaster has nailed down the winter thus far. It’s because all the models and teleconnections suck. It is what it is.
February has always been the snowiest month in my area and January is the 2nd snowiest month. We are only on day 2 of January. Plenty of winter to go. It is much too early to throw in the towel.
They can throw it in, but it won’t sink. Too much ice.
a touch dramatic lol
@blacklabsmatter just a bit dramatic. Geez!!!! my grandsons are more mature.
Al Gore said the same thing 25 years ago.
Yea shouldnt we all be dead by now .. what a douchebag he is
@blacklabsmatter douchebag is too nice!!!! The greatest hoax of this century.
Such a hive mindset on this chat…but I love chatting about weather…again I think this winter is pretty much a wrap, hope I’m wrong but I don’t think so.

So the GFS is showing a major for the Jan8-9 in the mid-Atlantic up to SNE. Too bad it is the GFS. Too bad it is the 18Z. And too bad it is 10 days out. 3 strikes and you are out in this game.
Ok ACCUWeather!!!! This is for Thursday. You’re about as useful as tits on a bull. Subject to change 100x times. 😂😂
They are worthless. They always put sleet and freezing rain totals together in Ice amount. Its so stupid.
Radar looks impressive BUT!!! nothing is falling from the sky. The air is too cold and dry. 24 degrees and dew point 10. I smell bust potential!!
Back end moving through in the next few hours. Never did make it up to freezing today. Hagerstown officially 0.03 of an inch of freezing drizzle. On to the next nonevent.,
Bummer. Might as well live in Ohio
CMC joins the parade for snow in Mid-Atlantic in th Dec. 24-26 time frame. Heck of a way to run a warm-up.

Tonights high gonna be real bad..wind is howling now
Quite here in Central New Jersey sending prayers to those affected.
42 degrees this morning. I only had to run my heat for less then 24 hours in Sept. Every day of Oct that i don’t have to run it is a bonus. Sept was 2.3 degrees above normal and 65% of normal precipitation.
Hagerstown 20% of normal since late July. At my house west of town, about 15% of normal unless that is going to be the new normal. IIn that case we are spot on the last 80 days.
Gross 🤮 outside.
rain so far is 0.30″
Another beautiful day. 56 this morning and 82 currently
Dew points in the 40’s Currently. 83. Beautiful out.
Looks like the wizard of oz outside. Tree branches falling everywhere.
