Good morning. 52 and cloudy in Burlington, NJ going up to 76. Couldn’t ask for better weather for the Phillies opener!
Agree! 50s feeling nice this morning in Marlton. Hopefully some sun for us this afternoon to go along with the 70s.
Plus we are not getting the severe weather they are getting west of us.

This is a photo from a woman in Ishpeming Michigan and this morning she was “swimming” as she said to get to her bird feeder! Wow!
Notice the depth of the snow against those trees. It gives you more perspective how much snow fell.

Love the new video format. A few more sessions and you’ll be ready for prime-time TV! Best weather presentation since Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz retired.

Henry, the new logo is really cool! Did you design it?
I was going to say the same thing. Looks nice so does the new post’s.

Late yesterday afternoon, light rain started falling in the Las Vegas Valley. Over night, the Spring Mountains received significant snows above 5,000 feet which is much needed. The Western mountains are far below average with regard to snow. Rainfall across the valley varied, but was generally <0.1 inch. Today, is very windy with wind gusts…Read More

How can the EURO have posted a high of 12 for NYC on Sunday Feb. 7 but NOAA has posted a high of 25 for Hagerstown the same day? Seems impossible.
Well Sunday is actually Feb 8 but still.

The predicted 18” from the blizzard in Raleigh. 🫤
You will be all day shoveling that deck,
This was a very unpredictable storm…most mets jumped on it way too soon and there was just a ton of click bait videos on YouTube talking about a mega storm. Simple truth it’s way too cold for storm to really perform as predicted. Cold air is dry and it can kill a storm sometimes.
All of that cold air that predicted in February if it’s too cold I see a lot of frowns coming from snow lovers when these storms keep getting shoved south and out to sea. Not saying that we won’t get any snow…but the extreme temps will be an issue so set you expectations reasonably…just saying
As long as it stays way below average the next six weeks, the snow on the ground now will still be around the second week of March.
You are in the split of the storm
Yup
While the country east of the Rockies is locked in the deep freeze, we are in a warming trend in the Southwest. In the Las Vegas area, maximum temperatures will be at or near 70 deg this weekend before a gradual cool down next week. Low temperatures have been close to slightly above seasonal averages for the past couple of weeks. No precipitation…Read More

I keep hearing the B word for new England this weekend…..lets see??!!

it amazes me how quickly warm air can invade a storm , even with super cold air mass in place …. yuck
Yeah it does, moisture air has a infinity for dry air. I’m guessing that’s why. Being very dry air I think some of these totals might be a tad high but still a lot of snow for us.

Just removed all the roof panels off my gazebo,.. instructions say it can’t hold more than 5″ of snow
I just finish putting together the new 48″ snow blower attachment for my tractor. What a pain.
Nice
Brrrrrr -75 wind chill
Worst weather on the planet?
@weathermadness Storms are looking good Henry! Hopefully they pan out and bring the Big Daddy snows we have been looking for.
It’s all good Henry we are all well aware that winter is over as far as snow is concerned for the Mid-Atlantic, and it would appear that you are coming around to that same solution, took you a little while to get there but you are there as well. You have to realize that the MId-Atlantic snow geese have accepted this sort of weather pattern as the…Read More
We shall see
February has always been the snowiest month in my area and January is the 2nd snowiest month. We are only on day 2 of January. Plenty of winter to go. It is much too early to throw in the towel.
They can throw it in, but it won’t sink. Too much ice.
a touch dramatic lol
Al Gore said the same thing 25 years ago.
Yea shouldnt we all be dead by now .. what a douchebag he is
Such a hive mindset on this chat…but I love chatting about weather…again I think this winter is pretty much a wrap, hope I’m wrong but I don’t think so.
