Slippery travel with light snow transiting to a wintery mix tonight with temps in the upper 20s. Higher elevations surrounding the Cumberland valley may see a little more. Warming trend starting…Read More

March 1 – in like a lamb… ergo we’re doomed
Wow I have now had a few inches of snow over my seasonal average snowfall in Rochester. I am looking forward for the brief warmup coming later this coming week even if rain comes with it. I can still feel excited for another storm or two coming before spring but hoping spring won’t be too unpleasant but will see updates ftom Henry hoping for…Read More
Hagerstown has had almost the same amount except you have to move the decimal point one place to the left. See you can make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
62 degrees, feels done right hot in the sun, after what we have had.

Peoria (Central Illinois) was 26* this morning and reached 70* about 2:30 this afternoon. Went from running the furnace to having the windows open. Lots of Robins moving through headed north. But then, cold and snow due on Sunday, so I won’t get Spring fever quite yet.
I repeat. What happened to Patriot?
I don’t understand what you are asking.

Our weather in Southern NV has taken a complete flip from last week where we had snow down to within a thousand feet of the valley floor to having our first 80 deg day of the year on this past Wednesday. Saturday and Sunday will be similar with high temperatures in the low 80s, then a cool down to more seasonal temps by Monday and into next week.…Read More

Next weekend is Daylight Savings time March 8.
How long before it ends so we can get back to missing snow events that everyone else always seems to get?
LOL My Brother isn’t far from you. He likes rubbing it in when they don’t get much or just rain. He’s in Purcellville Area.
Nov. 1st to fall back. Did you see the temps for next weekend and the following week? Get any snow next week it will disappear as fast as it came.
All Hell is going to break lose after March 14.

Yeah whole power outage thing…that’s the ugly side of winter storms and blizzards, I’ll pass on that, Will probably get one of those Generac whole home generators installed this spring if these type of storms are going to be on the table going forward
Best buy i ever made
We lose power all the time. Shouldn’t, but we do. Not as bad as it was before. But anytime we get a bad storm seems like we do. So I got a generator and hook up a transfer panel. It’s nice to have but you have to make sure you keep fuel on hand and don’t let get old. I keep around 15-20 gallons. I use it in my riding mower. With 2 acres it keeps…Read More
Also run it out of gas. Never leave old gas in it. If you can afford it use the no ethanol. If leave gas in any small engine it will gel and get moisture
Generac sales guy says they have a model that runs off of your natural gas line, so I’ll choose that one that way don’t have to worry about buying fuel for it.
Awesome, no Natural gas out our way.
Wow what a storm. Hope you all being hit are safe. I am sitting pretty here in Rochester with only a couple of inches of snow. I have a brother in New Jersey and have not heard from him and I know there are a lot of power outages there and in Massachusetts and other places. Anyone hear from Natalie in Westchester? Hope she is OK.
Nat posted a pic below. Looks like 18 inches
Thanks
