Add Wally Kinnan, Francis Davis, (Philly market 1960s), Glen Schwartz (Phiily 1990s-2020s), Don Kent, Stuart Soroka, and John Ghiorsi (Boston and Providence 1970s). And of course Elliot, Joe B and Henry (AW 1970s -on). I’ve been following weather since the Dec 1960 east coast blizzard, and these are the Great Ones!

Here in Bucks County we’re in the same hole. Snow to the north, south and west, but not here!

Looks like first coastal of season turning out to be a complete bust for the rain starved valleys of west central Md. 0.02 of an inch so far with main fetch sliding off to the east on radar. Hope this is not a trend setting up for winter moving forward.

This goes for Northern New Jersey too!

….I’ll believe it when I’m shoveling it
GFS showing this for 3 straight runs now as we enter the window of probability for later this week. NWS has blinked first and changed their forecast for Thursday going from rain in the 40’s to now a 60% chance of snow/sleet and temperatures in the 30’s for Hagerstown. Currently 20 degrees at my house just 4 miles west of town on the Old National Pike.
Yeah but I still think this is way over done
There has probably been a slide southward of disturbances of at least 75-100 miles in the upcoming 6-10 as compared to last week’s forecast.
Good grief can someone please shoot the GFS and put it out of it’s misery…smh
Bingo front row! 18z GFS says game on
18z GFS sees two storms back to back 6th-9th
It might mean more if it is verifiable on the 12Z and 00Z runs.

Merry Christmas to all on site and Henry for his great work and time he puts into forecast. Gives J B a run for money every day and stays on task, which J B has always had issues with. When these 2 were forced out of Accuweather started slide to being just another site. Became just another corporate entity not even recognizable To real weather…Read More

This is getting serious. No rain in sight and killing Monday now Saying goes dry breads dry wet same. Ask.midwest. Many.of us rely on underground water to survive people and animals. Local water supplies lowest been years. No long term relief on some long range thru rest year. Any thoughts on that Henry?
Henry , it would be terrific if you did a post mortem on this hurricane … how was this missed ?!’nn it would be great educational opportunity
I agree!!!
OK

Took Reba for a walk around 9am, sun was out for awhile. That had to be the coldest morning yet, I took her out!! Temp was 32° and the winds gusting to over 15mph, gusts to 25. She did her business and headed right home! Normally she walks around another 30 min or so. MY FACE WAS FROZEN, being out for about half hour. The walk home was straight…Read More

3 reasons why 99.99% of all winter forecast have failed this season
1. El Nino turned out to be a big nothing burger for the east coast.
2. MJO, while most meteorologist were focused on the up coming El Nino, very few took into account the MJO which decided to not play well with all other indices. So thus far the indices have been…Read More
